Quinzy
Hi, I have already posted this issue on a different forum I guess but noone could help me with it. The Pixel persona lags on my iPad and doesn’t help me with my projects at all. Sometimes, the app just shuts down when I click on pixel persona. This has been happening since I started using Affinity designer and I thought it will get better with updates. But it is still the same. I tried uninstalling the app and downloading it again, but it is still the same. I have attached a video for your reference. Thank you. Staff Sean P Posted June 10, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Guys, Which model of the iPad are you using? I can see from the video it appears to be a 9.7" Pro, but is that 1st or 2nd generation? If you go to iPad Settings > General > About could you let us know the value of the 'Model' section along with the version of iOS as well. Thanks. Quinzy
@Sean P Hi Sean, I'm using iPad (6th generation), it's not pro. Other details: Software version - 12.3.1 Thank you Quinzy
Staff Sean P Posted June 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 11, 2019 Thanks for that, Looking at your video I can see you're creating a document that is 2000x2000 points at 400 DPI. Did you want points or was you mistaking that to be pixels? The document you are creating when printed is around 2.3ft x 2.3ft which is a huge amount of pixel data. Unfortunately the iPad 2018 only has 2GB of memory so it is struggling with such large amounts of pixel data when using pixel brushes as its really at the upper limits of what the device can handle. An image that size is unlikely to be viewed from less than 2ft away, for which viewing distance 150ppi is adequate.
