I ordered the great looking Affinity Photo workbook back in April, I received email to say that it was out of stock & would be available in June, not received any news about my order as yet, but my question is: with the updated 1.7 on offer will the new book have the new features in it or will it be out of date when I receive it?, anyone help on this question please.

FIrst, it is important to understand that the workbooks are not manuals, in the usual sense of the term. They do not, and are not intended to, explain everything in the product. They explain the basics of the product, and then they provide examples of some common situations you might face, and how to deal with them.

As I understand it, all of the examples should continue to be relevant, and all the approaches they document should still work.

But the current workbooks (again, as I understant the situation) have very few changes to cover new 1.7 features. Obviously, someone from Serif would know more, but I think they're quite busy at the moment dealing with the rollout of 1.7 yesterday, and issues that some users are having.

Hello

Thank you for that reply, I have just received an email from Affinity saying that the workbook will be dispatched this week.

May I also ask you, this 1.7 upgrade, is it a free upgrade if you already have AP, or is it a 20% reduction price?.

Thanks

This is not "upgrade", but "update", and this is free.

Upgrade to version 2.x will be paid.
