1.7.0 crashes often when opening or creating .afphoto files

Hello,

The new Affinity Photo tends to crash easily either when I create a new file or when I open a previously created one.

This is the report of the latest crash:

Can you please try this?

Close Photo . Open Finder. Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/Application Support/ and rename user to user.backup. Reopen Photo.

Hi Gabe,

Thank for the reply. I need to say that the problem didn't happen with a specific file but it happens randomly either if I try opening files or if I try to create new ones.

I will do as you suggested though and let you know if the app crashes again

Hi Gabriel,

They are either directly on my Desktop or on a folder I always use and always used (even with the prior version of Affinity).

I do think this is a bug. I reported it while using the beta as well.

Thanks for the crash report - we believe we have fixed this issue in the 1.7.1.138 beta - available in the beta section of this forum.
