BillH64
What can I do to speed up the launching Of Affinity Photo. MacOS 10.14.5. It take at least 2 minutes with the bouncing icon to launch and partially locks up the toolbar while this is happening. I thought the upgrade to 1.7 would help, but all is the same. Ideas???? Staff Dan C Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 6, 2019 Hi BillH64, Welcome to the forums I'm very sorry to hear this, it certainly isn't expected. Could you please try: Restart your Mac and then try launching the software again If this does not help you can reset your app back to default settings by following the below instructions: You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. I hope this helps. Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
