Still the old 1.6 icon on the taskbar, unlike Photo 1.7

I just installed both Photo and Designer. Not a major bug more like a visual annoyance. Designer keeps the old look on the taskbar. Both shortcuts for Photo 1.7 and Designer 1.7 on my desktop are fine.

Here too. Ive had to refresh the icon on the desktop manually.

Just restart Windows and the new icon will show up. Speaking of the icons... looks way too big compared to my other icons on the taskbar like the ones from Adobe for example. It's just flat and boring!

Do you keep the icon pinned on your taskbar? If a reboot doesn't sort it try un-pinning and re-pinning.

Here is what i did: Unpinned both Designer and Photo from taskbar, then i run the new versions and pinned them again after right clicking on the taskbar icon. (It didn't work pinning them from the start menu).

One trick I use to refresh the taskbar is to switch the default web browser - via Settings/Apps/Default Apps - and then just switch it back.
I have no idea why this works but is has worked for me in the past (and is what I did to refresh the Designer icon).
