Depa Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 "Edit with" from Photo to Affinity Photo don't work with 1.7 ..worked with the 1.6.7 . Quote
thecrowe Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Didn't work for me after installing 1.7 a reboot sorted it all fine now. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 Hi @Depa, I cannot replicate this either. Have you tried to reboot your Mac? Thanks, Gabe. Quote
fatihayoglu Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Doesnt work on my system, I have restarted my Mac as well. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 Do you have the Mac App store version or the Affinity Store version? Quote
fatihayoglu Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I have Mac App version, got the auto update today Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 Any chance you can attach a screen recording of this in action? Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 How about this: Apple Photos > Click on Edit on the top right > (...) > Edit in Affinity Photo . Does that work? Quote
fatihayoglu Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 That does work, however right click option (which is the fast way) is not. Sad thing is, I have reported this few times during beta. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 Thanks. I will update our developers on this. Quote
Ege Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Hello, I have just updated to 1.7 from 1.6.7. I can click on Edit With Affinity Photo. -> Affinity Photo opens and shows the selected image. -> Do some changes on Affinity -> Click on File-> Save. And file is not saved. Photos app still shows the unedited version of the photograph. Restart does not help unfortunately. Is there a way to downgrade to 1.6.7 back until a bug fix is released? Thanks, Ege Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 7, 2019 Staff Posted June 7, 2019 Hi @Ege, If you got the app from our website, you can download the previous version. If you got it from the Mac App Store, you cannot do it unless you have a time machine backup. Thanks, Gabe. Quote
Ege Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Thank you Gabriel, I bought the software via your website last year. Thank you very much for the information. Do you have a bug-fix release planned for this issue? I really liked the performance improvements but it is very sad to see that images cannot be saved. Thank you, Ege Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 7, 2019 Staff Posted June 7, 2019 I'm afraid we do not have an ETA for a fix. Sorry Quote
LIANA BAER Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I have upgraded to the latest version and the save still not fix. It does not save to Mac Photo or any where. I have to export to save. I sucks. Quote
Staff MEB Posted June 24, 2019 Staff Posted June 24, 2019 Hi LIANA YOUNG, Welcome to Affinity Forums We are already aware of this issue. I've bumped our report to bring this issue to developers attention. Meanwhile if you display the photo in Apple Photos, click the Edit button on the top right of the interface, click the Extensions button (its the ellipsis icon) and select Edit in Affinity Photo, your changes will be saved back to Apple Photos. Silverton Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I have noticed this issue as well. After removing all the Affinity extensions and then reinstalling them they work - sometimes. The Affinity Extensions really need a little TLC (tender loving care). I have also reported other issues with the Affinity Extensions here: Quote
LIANA BAER Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Thank for all the replies. I learn something new. I didn't know about extension. Now I know. Much appreciated. It saves when I use the extensions. Not as elegant as before, but it works. Thanks MEB 1 Quote
