How to use newer versions than Appstore

Hi all,

I've purchased Affinity Designer and Photo on macOS AppStore and I'm very glad of these products.

I see there are newer versions on web, also beta of 2.0. I'm wondering how can I install them if I purchased both applications on AppStore and I don't have a license code.

Not sure where you ever will have seen a beta of 2.0, but you can take a look at the forums Affinity Beta Software Forums section, there you will find the actual beta programs for the coresponding apps.

There are no newer versions than the 1.7.x betas @v_kyr mentioned. The 1.7.0.135 version of the Affinity Photo Customer Beta for Mac is the "Gold Master Seed" (the final beta). It has been submitted to the Mac App Store (MAS for short), so barring any problems that would cause Apple to reject it (which is unlikely), in the next few days you should be able to update to it in the usual way through the MAS.

The most recent version of the Designer Customer Beta for Mac is 1.7.0.14 - RC1. The "RC1" designation means it is the first Release Candidate, so it is considered not quite ready to be submitted to the MAS, but hopefully it won't be much longer before it reaches GM status, is submitted to & approved by Apple, & you can update to it in the same way as for Photo.
