Straight Lines

You can use a gesture with the Paint brush Tool, after the initial stroke is placed, single finger press, then tap where you wish the line to end.

I guess I’m doing it wrong.  I end up with 3 separate spots and no line.

Hi Engine44,
After you draw the line you have to keep to tap and hold one finger anywhere on screen, then tap with another where you want to finish the straight line (it will start from where you have ended it previously).

In my experience with one finger nothing happens. Also for pen tool with one finger not orthogonal lines.

Hi Angelos58,
Lee's and my reply refer to the Paint Brush Tool (raster) in Affinity Photo or Designer (in Pixel Persona) not the Vector Brush Tool you are using in Vector Persona. We both assumed that's the tool the OP is using.

Hi, there. I would like to buy Affinity Photo to my iPad Pro. But the main feature for me is creating sketches based on a straight lines with Paint Brush Tool (have attached previews for some sketches). Vector tool is not suitable for me.

I'm only interested in Paint Brush Tool. So as I have understood from this topic - I can make a straight lines in my raster sketches using Paint Brush Tool, right?

I'm asking, because there is a lot of questions, but no information about this function on iPad, or or any positive results. I have only found Rope stabiliser and Window stabiliser, but that's not I'm looking for.

Thanks Aric! Helped me out.

But confused as to how to draw multiple shapes with multiple straight lines. I draw a line and lift my finger when finished drawing my desired shape but when I want to start a new set of straight lines from somewhere else on the layer the line originates from the place I finished my previous lines.

You only get a straight line from the end of the previous line if you hold down a finger first. For a new shape, simply tap at the starting point without holding down a finger, and then continue with a finger held down as before.
