gallowglass Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 The Luminar plug-ins are visible in the plug-in filter drop-down but do not open. Work fine in 16-5-135. Any thoughts?
Staff MEB Posted June 3, 2019 Staff Posted June 3, 2019 Hi mfjconnors, Welcome to Affinity Forums I haven't tested Luminar plugins yet (neither the retail nor the Beta), so I can't say if it's a bug with the Beta or an issue with the plugin configuration. I will install them today and will get back to you. Meanwhile maybe someone can provide feedback regarding them working with Beta? MikeFromMesa Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I tried using Luminar Flex (which is their plugin) and it never launched. Flex did not crash. It just did not run. Once AP/APB goes into plugin mode you are stuck if the plugin does not run.
p_mac Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 This is directly from their community site. It doesn't appear like it works with Mac, but check it out. There is a link to a plugin that goes to Dropbox. https://community.skylum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360043028931-Luminar-Flex-with-Affinity-Photo
gallowglass Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 Luminar plug-ins showed up in the Beta version of 1.17 but did not open; this is still the case with the full release version. Worked fine with the prvious version.
Lysander Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Luminar Flex is not working in the release version either. I hope the Serif development team can add more plug-in support. Apple Photos supports both Affinity Photo and Luminar Flex so I guess you can use that to round-trip. Kind of kludgy but one way to go.
