HELP! Unable to Update: Stuck on 1.6.1 (App store purchase)

Hi.

I purchased Affinity Designer via the App Store, and I've been trying to update with no luck. I even tried to login to get support and it told me there was no account with my email.

How do I update the software that I purchased? My version is too far behind (1.6.1) and not reliable.

Please help.

You have to update via the Mac App Store (MAS) where you bought it, the MAS usually should indicate and offer any available app version updates.

You already have the current MAS version of Affinity Designer.

Version 1.7.0 is due for release very soon.

Hmm..Ok, I swear I saw a 1.6.5 download. 

I guess that's for Windows only?

If you followed the link in my previous post you’ll have seen version 1.6.5 downloads for both Mac and Windows, but those are for Serif’s own Affinity Store. The numbering is (and, as far as I’m aware, always has been) different for the Mac App Store versions.

One thing @Alfred failed to mention explicitly is that the Numbers are different but that is the only difference between them.
