Sampled Coloured Tool

I have a problem with the Sampled Coloured Selection Tool.  With a layer chosen, I tap on the tool icon.  Automatically, the whole layer is selected and I am unable to deselect it.  I assume I am doing something wrong?

I can't see a Sampled colour tool? Can you provide a screen shot.

If you are referring to the colour picker tool, you need to tap and drag it onto the screen. You will get a loupe to select colour. You can set sample pixel size in context menu.

I tap outside of the picture and the selection is gone. Then I can change the  tolerance an try again .

Same here. You can see effect when there is more colour present.
