Snowcap1
OK, I must be really stupid. I cannot grasp how the Gradient Tool works in Affinity. I use it all the time when in On1 and I think it works very similar to Affinitys. I think this is a great tool but I'm just not getting it. I want to use Affinity for most of my editing and On1 for refining certain things but i just don't get it. Can anyone help this old man on how to use this tool. Thank You
Gear maker
Snowcap, that's a very broad topic. Following are a few tutorials out on YouTube. If you can narrow down the question a bit we should be able to help. Alfred 1 Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra

Without knowing your workflow (how you are trying to use the gradient) it's hard to determine - what's wrong. Try inserting a screenshot or video recording of your procedure. Fixx
in AP: Drag & release. There you have a gradient. Mind that you have to have an existing pixel or fill layer to apply gradient to. Maybe other layer types accept gradient too, I have not checked.
