1.7.2.4 Point Transform Tool no Power duplicating

Recommended Posts

As per title it doesn't seem possible to apply power duplication when moving an object with point transform. Is this by design ?

Hi ErrkaPetti, I think this was fixed. Are you having a problem still?

I think it is necessary to select the object first. Then change rotation point. Then duplicate and rotate. Then duplicate, duplicate ....

Edit. Sorry Errka, after a closer look at your vid I see what you mean with the Point Transform tool.. I was using the Set Rotation Target in context toolbar. (It’s late here :$)..

I'll check my bug reports but if I recall the answer was 'this is by design'. That seems odd to me though.

Edit.

Do you using the Transform POINT tool here really?

The way you do here is working, but not Power Duplicate when using Transform Point Tool active...

If you draw and curve line with Pen Tool and then use TPT to adjust the rotation point, rotate/resize the line with the TPT then Duplicate it, it will not work...

I agree. It’s not working as we would expect it to. I think it is a bug but 'may' be by design. How does it behave on desktop. That is usually a good indicator.
