Hey,

i can not select the first word (or the complet text) in a numbered line and change the style to bold or italy without the effect gets to the number.

example so i would like to have:

1. First Word

2. First Word

but Publishe do

1. First Word

2. First Word

At underline style Publisher works fine.

Hope you understand what i mean. I use the Beta  1.7.0.337

The default font, colour and other formatting for the number have to come from somewhere, so they come from the first character of the paragraph. You can override it by specifying a character style in the list format.

Are there any plans for the future to add character style formating to bullets, numbering and outline styles?

You can already add character style formatting to the bullets and numbers, as Dave indicated. You create a style you like for the numbers or bullets, and update your paragraph list style to include that style in the Numbers and Bullets section. E.g., after creating the character style Numbered 1 Number as having Normal weight, I updated Numbered 1 to force that style for the numbers:

Or did you mean something else?

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "outline styles". Can you help me understand that?

Thanks.

I was searching in "Text" menu and I couldn't find it there.

Outline styles are multilevel numbering (or bullet or mix of both) styles:

1. cvb vcb xcv

    1.2 cvb cvb cvb

or

1. vb vb vb

  •     bn b nbn bn vbnv

Multi-level numbering and bullet styles are already supported. The default text styles list has "Numbered 1", "Numbered 2", and "Numbered 3" as examples. They use a combination of the list Level (each level gets its own counter), the Text field to set the 1.2.3 format, and usual paragraph indents.
