postmadesign
Will you be supporting .DOC import as well. I know its a legacy format, but it would be useful.

fde101
Based on the fact that the Photo beta is now listed as "gold master" and this is not (and is still getting new features), am I correct in guessing that the official release of Publisher is not happening at the same time as Photo and Designer? 000
Is there any official comment on PDF-pass-through functionality? Planned? In Progress? Coming later, but not in the initial release? Not planned at all? I need this for almost every publication (most adverts come as PDF files) and re-saving PDFs as high-res TIF files (to ensure correct output) takes up a lot of space. If you check the "gold master" release thread for the Photo beta it indicates that unless something major is found, the Photo release will be next week. I find it unlikely that the already-released apps will be updated out of sync (due to file compatibility issues) so presumably that means Designer also. Publisher has never been released, so with new features still being added, no "gold master" yet, etc., I'm guessing they might be planning on holding that for a bit longer to polish it off a bit more. This would also explain the missing "Edit in Publisher" menu items from the Photo and Designer betas, if they had come to the conclusion that this might happen... I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but if Serif made their splash screens to be a bitmap like Xara products, I would make my own in a heartbeat...even though I only see it for mere seconds. (Xara has made some funky ones too. And I changed them as well.) Sorry Adam.

You didn't pick up on the fact that the Triangle is producing Quadrilaterals, or is eating them or I have too much imagination. You have too much imagination! The new Designer and Photo splash screens also reference the old icon, so it would be rather odd if the Publisher splash screen didn’t do the same.
