Please, assign <ENTER> on a numeric keyboard to "Page Break" as in ID and QXP. It should create a new page if need it.

It isn't actually a page break, it is a next-frame break. It only acts like a page break if one has single threaded text frames on each page. But if there are two or more threaded text frames on a single page, the numpad Enter key moves the insertion point to the next threaded frame on the same page.

in the key shortcuts, under the Text section, you can add say alt+return to insert a Frame Break.

Or, like without a numeric keypad, <Fn + Enter>.

Affinity applications make no distinction between enter on a keyboard and an enter key on a num pad. So alt or opt and the enter key on a keyboard is the same as alt/opt on a num pad.

Affinity applications should make that distinction. Not using a modifier key with a num pad is quicker/easier...for those that have a num pad.

(And frankly, I would never have a laptop or desktop computer that didn't have a num pad. I use a num pad way too much.)

It's a matter of size, isn't it? – Whereas "Or, like without a numeric keypad, <Fn + Enter>" is a matter of shortcuts only.

Agreed. My choice of keyboard shortcuts for my own styles using the num pad in InDesign won't work here because it messes with zoom levels.

Sometimes size matters...

It's just a personal preference as regards both using a full keyboard and that there would be a distinction between both enter keys for those that have a numpad.
