marktripney
I have a text object with three separate lines of text, one word on each line. I'd like to alter the opacity of each word - 100% on top, 80% on the middle line, and 60% on the bottom. However, when I try to do this, opacity changes for the entire box, not just the word I have selected... Is it possible to do what I'm attempting? Or, do I have to create three separate text objects? Staff Callum Posted May 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted May 30, 2019 Hi Marktripney, Welcome to the forums This might not be exactly what you are looking for but if you select your text object you should be able to use the transparency tool to do this by setting up a gradient with the values you want. Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Staff MEB Posted May 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted May 30, 2019 Hi marktripney, Welcome to Affinity Forums Alternatively, select the word you want then go to the Colour Panel and set the colour opacity you wish on the bottom slider/contols. If you don't see it (if it says Noise) click the small colour well below the Noise label to change it to opacity. Do the same for the rest of the words - select each one individually and change the colour opacity as described. marktripney
Thank you Callum, thank you MEB --- MEB's answer was exactly what I was looking for (although the Transparency tip is useful to know, too!)
