copy and paste text between documents - keep size

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I am trying to copy text between documents but everytime it seems to re-scale it and comes out a different font size. Can anyone explain why this is ?

The reason I need to do this is I am making sewing patterns and want to make a 'master template' text box with the pattern information that I can then copy and paste into each document and ensure the formatting is the same across them all. Clearly this is currently doing the opposite of what I need!

Any help greatly appreciated

Many thanks

It's possible the files have different DPI settings, so one might be 300DPI and the other is 72DPI or visa versa.

That's It!!    I have had the same problem, but intermittent so it was hard to get a handle on it. Coming from Illustrator I wasn't used to checking the dpi but now I shall.  If one were to put together a FAQ sheet called "If you are coming from Illustrator" I would mention this behavior.    ///  Now if I could find the keyboard command to speed up the skew keys (moving an object with keyboard arrow keys)...
