Multi stroke text in Designer

Recommended Posts

I used to use Freehand and I was able to do text with multiple strokes. However in Affinity Designer I haven't found a way to do this without duplicating text and then messing about with the stroke widths/font size.

Am I missing something or is what I'm doing the only way to do it?

Below is an example I did using Freehand

Version 1.7 (currently in beta) includes an Appearance panel where you can add and configure multiple strokes.

I do not believe the Appearance Panel currently works with text

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Correct. However, Matt said that it will come in a future update.

Best regards!

See this thread here and the way with "convert to curves" and "expand stroke".

Cheers thanks for that link I’ve got a deadline for Friday and that looks like it’s going to do the job
