1.7.0.5 update install query

The latest update pops up a warning message that I don’t recall seeing on previous versions. Is this to be expected?

Same for me - the new beta appears to want to install over my 1.6 install rather than the new Beta (as it's not named beta and listed separately in Test Flight).

Please do not install unless you are willing/ready to "update" all your files to 1.7 format. Matt is out of the office and I will try to find out why this build is not also on the parallel beta testflight (com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.ios.beta : 1464652610)

That photo is from 2017 at my 40 year award ceremony at Lumley Castle in County Durham.

Back on topic, I’ve just visited the App Store and reinstalled build 1.6.4.45. Everything seems just as it was before I installed build 1.7.0.5.

Doesn't that require uninstalling the testflight app and that loses all your (.afdesign) documents on the home page doesn't it? That's a bit drastic

I have removed build 1.7.0.5 from the beta testing group, as it seems to have been meant to be internal users only to test the upgrade path.#

Sorry to anyone who had already installed this version, PM me before you reinstall the iPad Store version as I do not want you to lose any files, and I will see what can be done.

No, I didn’t need to touch the TestFlight app: both it and my 1.7.0.4 installation were and are still intact. The home screens for builds 1.6.4.45 and 1.7.0.4 are exactly as they were prior to my installing build 1.7.0.5.

That seems to be the difference between reinstalling 1.6.4.45 OVER testflight 1.7.0.5 and the more drastic Uninstalling testflight 1.7.0.5 and then installing the iPad store 1.6.4.45, which would have lost the files (afaik).

It didn’t even occur to me to try to uninstall the TestFlight version of the app beforehand! All I wanted was to get 1.6.4.45 installed again, so I headed straight for the list of ‘not currently installed apps’ in the App Store.

Too late Zebedee again. Ha every thing seems fine apart from one test drawing that won’t open in the App Store V1.6 version. No worries a little bit of excitement keeps us interested

Having completed some internal upgrade testing this build has be released on Testflight to all users again. Feel free to report issues found using this build.
