RC1 HSL HSV Missing

Recommended Posts

While the new HSL filter is great, it is missing a key feature, the HSV toggle. This is particularly important in my workflow as I use it to bring desaturation to white as part of a saturation mask as seen in this video. Please bring it to this version before the store version is launched, thanks.

I vote for @dmstraker's suggestion of a checkbox for PSD compatibility as some of us don't care about that and would rather have the HSV functionality. again, not good to take away features.

To create a saturation mask, use the selective colour adjustment as follows:

1. Deselect relative.
2. For the red, yellow, green, cyan, magenta and blue colours, set all the sliders to -100.
3. For the whites, neutrals and blacks, set all the sliders to +100.

N.B. This solution requires Photo 1.7.

This is exactly what I'm doing, thanks

DG = max(SR,SG.SB) - min(SR,SG,SB)

DB = max(SR,SG.SB) - min(SR,SG,SB)

I'm sure these are just simple typos. Dots should be replaced with commas in max functions.
