Old Bruce
I have a macro which makes a Lab Light layer. Convert to Lab 16 bit select the Light channel and make a grayscale layer then convert back to RGB 16 bit. Run it a few of times and delete the layers run it a few of times and delete the layers. Memory use goes way up, from 2.78 GB to over a dozen GB and it stays there until I close the file. This makes the program very unresponsive to the point of being unusable. Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
IPv6
Seems like a bug... but have to note there is simplier way to get Lab-Light layer: just use "Apply Image" filter -> Equations in Lab mode and set "SL" for all channels You`ll get lightness in white and black much faster Old Bruce
