boriscargo
Hello, is there a way to export to PDF AND preserve groups created in AD ?
Staff Callum Posted May 26, 2019 Staff Share Posted May 26, 2019 Hi Boriscargo, Unfortunately there is no way to preserve groups when exporting to PDF I'm afraid. boriscargo
thanks for your reply, but is this a limitation of AD or something that PDF can't handled ?

A pdf can preserve layers but not an application's grouping. Pšenda, Alfred and Callum 2

Incorrectly. PDF perfectly retains layers and groups. Here is a screenshot of my PDF file created in another vector editor.

paulo Dekkers
Illustrator also lets you save an .ai file to .pdf that preserves layers including their layer names. Are Affinity's export features limited by adobe patents and licencing??? This would make sence.
