1.7.0.4 beta Power Duplicate functionality

Recommended Posts

While not strictly a bug, the Power Duplicate function is very awkward, verging on unusable.

Is their a way that the Duplicate command could be pinned? Power duplication around a rotation target is cumbersome, having to reopen the Edit Menu and find Duplicate every time! Possibly pin it above the Deselect icon on bottom left of screen. Or better still add a 'Power Duplicate' menu command that stays active when selected until it is reselected. Eg. Tap Power Duplicate in menu to turn on, tap screen repeatedly to copy, eg 3 taps 3 copies, then tap Power Duplicate in menu to turn it off again.

Even adding ‘Duplicate’ to the long-press menu would be an improvement, but I like the idea of a pinned or persistent option.

Because I have a Smart Keyboard, control-j or cmd-j would seem to be an easy option to add as well.

And it has been in Photo RC1 along with several others, marked up below. Cmd+J as it is iPad not windows of course. Just need this implemented in Designer beta now.

Why Ctrl+J rather than Cmd+Jstirthepot.gif

Of course it’s cmd+j, force of habit from PC days.
