Brian.Stone Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 I have looked all over. Is there a "Trial" version of Affinity Photo? Quote
walt.farrell Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 Yes. In the Affinity Store, if you select Photo and then Desktop, you'll find it if you scroll to the bottom of the page, if I remember correctly. Or, try https://affin.co/phototrial Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Tonyteehee Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Now using the trial version of Affinity Photo. States it is a program for profession photographers -- Well Mac Version is what I have. Digimarc plugin does not work. Luminar plugin does not work Aurora plugin does not work Creative kit plugins do not work. So not for professional photographers I won't be buying until plugins work on the mac platform. Sorry but just not good enough at the moment to change from photoshop Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 29, 2019 Staff Posted May 29, 2019 Hi Tonyteehee, Welcome to Affinity Forums Photoshop plugins are developed specifically for Photoshop using the Adobe Photoshop SDK (software development kit). Due to the differences between programs (feature parity, functionality etc) not all plugins are supported. Currently basic image filters should work. Other plugins types (file import/export; requiring automation etc) are not supported. We are working to improve photoshop plugin support as we move forward/as possible. Support also varies between our Mac and Windows versions . Please check this (now a little outdated) list for more info. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Tonyteehee Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Thanks. Pity, I use Digimarc Luminar and Aurora for my images. Given AP does not support these plugins it's a no to purchasing from me Quote
