Ademanda
Hi, I had a quick browse through the forum, but couldn't see if this has been requested before. As a designer I am often asked to design logos and sometimes need to use the 3D Revolve effect in Illustrator - sample of one of my designs attached. Is there any plan to develop Affinity Designer so that this is possible? Or am I missing a way to already do it in Affinity Designer? I'm really hoping to cancel my Adobe subscription and migrate to Affinity, but this would be something that might prevent me from doing so. .: NICKY G. :.
Staff Ben Posted May 22, 2019 Staff Share Posted May 22, 2019 That's a fairly niche tool - we probably won't be adding it any time soon. Fixx
There used to be Adobe Dimensions app which performed beautifully. At the moment Illustrator seems to be the only game in town if you need vector 3D manipulation. Personally I would use 3D effects a lot. Mind, result does not have to be true 3D, it is often enough just reshape objects with some 3D procedure and have a flat path object as result.
