Hi there,

I am trying to dye a photo of a white t-shirt into different colors.

All tutorials I can find for this topic are using the adjustment which is called "umfärben" in german. Not sure which english term is used, but probably something like "dye" or "recolor".

When I select the t-shirt and play with the setting of this adjustment layer, the color does change, but all colors are very light. I cannot get the white to change to a midrange or dark color.

What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Michael

I think I have found a way. I am using a HSL-adjustment first, reducing the brightness. On top, I am adding the recolor adjustment. That works.

However, please feel free to comment on this. It is much appreciated!

Best regards,

Michael
