griojasd
Hello, the Panel/Toolbar that is usually on the right side of the screen is no longere there. I don't know if it disappeared or I accidentally closed it but it was very useful when trying to change levels, modify individual layers, etc. Could you please let me know how I can get this area back? Attached a screenshot of the area where this panel/toolbart is.
Staff Andrew Tang Posted May 4, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 4, 2015 Take a look at View -> Studio and see if the Studio are hidden. If not, choose the Reset Studio menu. :) manu schwendener

manu schwendener
Thank you, Andrew. Detail: 'Reset Studio' didn't work for me, but clicking on 'Hide Studio' again did. Quote manuschwendener.ch
achoukah
Didn't work for me, but found the solution after a bit more searching: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/8508-bug-toolbar-offscreen-in-seperated-mode/ It worked for me.. "Posted 28 September 2016 - 01:22 AM Hi shigglebop, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Press and hold ctrl while launching the application then select Clear from the dialog that will open to reset the app to its defaults. Let me know if you still have trouble after resetting the application.

skanlake
I also have disappearing panels. I don't loose them completely, however. When I leave the panels section to continue working on the project at hand is when they disappear, but if I click on the space where they reside, they reappear. This is a constant occurrence. Of course it would be optimum if they were visible at all times.
affino
Affinity 2 has the same problem, if not worse, of the panels disappearing, which happened to me with Affinity 1, but worse because this time just about everything else vanished, too: tools, toolbars, etc. I could get most back by using the "View" menu to show tools, etc., but not the panels to the right. Fortunately, web searching led to this page and it turns out the same solution still applies: hold the control key while restarting and then choose "reset studio." But it's a shame this is required. Any hope of making this more stable?

Or, you could try hitting the Tab key, which is the shortcut for View > Toggle User Interface, and is probably what you did to make them all disappear in the first place. By the way, the right studio can also be hidden/unhidden, but in V2 that's under the Window > Studio menu, not View > Studio.
