Add Color Labels to Master Pages

In Indesign you can apply simple color labels to Master Pages. This allows for quick recognition in the pages panel of what masters are applied to what pages. This is a really useful feature. Currently Master Pages in Publisher while they seem to work great all blend in together.

I've attached an image of the pages panel for an Indesign document I have.

I appreciate the idea to make Pages Panel more informative.

But I doubt the InDesign comparison is a good start here, since in AfPub you are allowed to assign more than 1 master page to a document page. It might result in a at least reduced clear look than shown in your screenshot.

However, such color markers (or any symbol) could also be used in AfPub to make sections visible in the pages panel.
(that is how you might have used master pages in your indd: as section markers)

I actually did not realize the ability to apply more than 1 Master Page to a document page. That is actually really handy benefit! 

Perhaps making sections color labeled would be more beneficial than the Master Pages.

You might want to look at this thread from September 2018. And especially at its last posts starting with @carl123 's 'But with a bit of lateral thinking...' 

This demonstrates some kind of workaround that could be of use for visualizing master page info (including multiple masterpages).

I guess (and agree to the need) this topic is about visualizing additional info in the Pages Panel, instead at document pages in main window.

I use the pages panel to navigate through a longer document. Such an info in document window would work, too, but is a bit less comfortable since you either have to scroll a lot or to zoom out first to get an overview.

Looking at the topic's screenshot lets me assume this was the intention to create various master pages – less because of different master page content but structure visually the documents chapters. That is why it made me think of rather visualizing sections in pages panel, than assigned master pages.
