Is there any documentation on this feature?

1.7.0.124 (and .123) have a new tone map feature - Clamp to SDR.

I could not find it in help file, google, etc.  Wondering what it does - or if this is a place holder for new functionality that is on the way.

There is a line in the Help under 'Tone Mapping HDR images' that reads:
Clamp to SDR—clamps values greater than 1, ensuring the tone mapped result does not have any remaining out-of-bound values.

But the info v_kyr provided makes for an interesting read
