Hello everyone!

In the past few days i'm testing the trial of Affinity Designer and Photo and i think i'll fully migrate from Illustrator and Photoshop. I'm really enjoying those softwares.

There is a few things that  i'll need to adapt, as expected. But there is one thing that is really crucial for me and i don't know yet how i can do it.

I have alot of information, references and guide files outside of illustrator's artboard that help me in the current project, like the image attached.

I finded a post already but din't have the answer, unfortunally.

There is anything that i can do? It is more than 10 years of files. I can't "lose" it all.

Thanks!

Affinity applications only import the pdf portion of an AI file. Only what is on an art board is in the pdf portion.

Encompassing all objects in a file can be scripted. The attached script should work in CS5 through CC (<-- at least earlier versions). It only works on each file that has focus. It could probably be extended to work on a folder of files, but that is likely above my pay-grade.

Open the ZIP file, drag it out onto your desktop and/or alternately move it into a document folder. At least on CS6 running on Windows, one uses the File menu, Scripts and Other Scripts... and then navigates to the JS. It will add slight padding around all objects when the artboard is created. Save the file as a new name if you do not want the original file overwritten.
