Josephine Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 When I'm working on a multipage document and need to place a pdf ad with bleeds, how do I remove the bleed on the spine side? Otherwise, it shows on the previous page. Another question: Whenever I place text, photo or anything, it creates layers for each. Is there a purpose for this? Can I turn it off? Quote

You can use the Crop tool to remove the bleed. 5 hours ago, Josephine said: Another question: Whenever I place text, photo or anything, it creates layers for each. Is there a purpose for this? Perhaps you can do more with the separate layers, than I found out for myself. On the other hand it can be confusing to have "many" layers. Like in my case placing old technical drawings easily having 50 layers or more. To make it less confusing I group these technical drawings. Sorry that I have so many questions but here's another one: when working on a page and I need to remove an item coming from a master page, how do I do that? Example is a page number. Quote

Example is a page number. When working on a page, you can click on the (Master A) layer. Then in the context-bar it will show you options to edit: Detached, Linked, Context, Locked. Click on Detached. You can now turn off visiblity of the page number layer. After that click finish in the red bar.
