Maree Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Hello everyone! I'm here because I've been searching for a design program. When I stumbled upon the Affinity line-up, I felt like I might have found what I was looking for, but I have a question for you folks... You see, I need this program to be able to create multi-layer projects: web graphics and projects for print, such as book covers, DVD covers, and magazine display ads. My question is: which Affinity program would be best suited for this type of design? I am drawn to Affinity Photo because it seems to be very friendly for creating projects for print with the CMYK output. Any input from the users would be appreciated! Thank you, Maree Quote
walt.farrell Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Maree. In case you're not aware, Serif provides a 10-day free trial of both applications. You can get the free trial of Photo at http://affin.co/phototrial and the one for Designer at https://affin.co/designertrial if you'd like to try them. Each trial runs for 10 consecutive days starting from the first time you open the program after you install it. You might install one trial, play with it for awhile to see how you like it for your purpose, then install the other trial and do some more experiments. Maree Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Thank you for the info, sir! That sounds like the way to go! Quote
Fixx Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I would use Designer for printed matter. Though Designer cannot do all pixel work as needed for printed matter. Quote
