thomaso
Using a 2nd monitor for AfPubs main window I do appreciate the option to save a custom zoom value in the Navigation Panel. But I experience three independent issues with a saved custom zoom: 1. It seems to work for one specific page only: if custom saved zoom gets selected for another page of the document, it unwanted jumps to that former page. 2. Once selected, it will always be displayed as active (with checkmark in front of the menu entry), regardless of the zoom factor actually used. 3. It seems to be ignored by the Pages panel: When I click in Pages panel to jump to a specific page, the custom zoom gets disabled –> must be re-selected –> see 1. macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
walt.farrell
I think you misunderstand the purpose of that function. It's not a custom zoom value, but a custom viewpoint, moving you to a specific location in the file with a custom zoom amount. It probably makes the most sense in Photo, or in Designer with only the canvas or a single Artboard. But in Publisher it could still be useful, I suppose. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
thomaso
Isn't a feature you described already accessible via "View" > "New View" menu? This works the same way as the custom savable zoom entry, both until you zoom or switch page. - Against which my concern does not refer to active zooming, but to passive, unwanted zooming. However, even if such a custom savable zoom entry is not meant to be allowed to work for more than 1 page, I still experience 2. and 3. as unwanted issues. One may call it "misunderstanding" (of either savable zoom entry or custom view menu), others might say "made by design" or "coded as is" macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
