SamSteele
Can anyone tell me what this Great Blue Anchor signifies? It appears at the top of a placed Docx file. but not an RTF file or a TXT file. Tia. WIN 7, AFF Pub. v .
Staff Sean P Posted May 14, 2019 Staff Share Posted May 14, 2019 Hi SamSteele, This means there is an 'Anchor' point set at that location. They can be used to link Hyperlinks inside your document to. For example you might want a hyperlink on a page to link to a specific piece of text. You can define where that text is by inserting an Anchor (Text > Interactive > Insert Anchor) and then inserting a hyperlink to link to it. TXT (and RTF I believe) files will not have these because they don't support the ability to hyperlink. You can toggle the symbol on/off by using Text > Interactive > Show Anchors. garrettm30
