Hi SamSteele,

This means there is an 'Anchor' point set at that location. They can be used to link Hyperlinks inside your document to. For example you might want a hyperlink on a page to link to a specific piece of text. You can define where that text is by inserting an Anchor (Text > Interactive > Insert Anchor) and then inserting a hyperlink to link to it. TXT (and RTF I believe) files will not have these because they don't support the ability to hyperlink.

You can toggle the symbol on/off by using Text > Interactive > Show Anchors.
