Hello,
One thing that really slows me down compared to Photoshop is that Affinity Designer and Photo do not seem to be aware of the file that is in the Clipboard (Mac).

I prefer Designer over Photo and I know Illustrator does not have this feature, but, it would really help. I suspect others also copy images from composites to their clipboard and then create a new document to paste into. Knowing the size already as photoshop does would knock off some wasted time resizing the document.

Any chance this is a feature that will be available soon or in the next update?

New From Clipboard (⌥ + N) will create a new document from the clipboard item, this is a non destructive creation until you rasterise the layer in the new document.

Shift Alt CMD N works for me!   Thanks firstdefence

Huh! As you have discovered, in the Mac Affinity apps the default keyboard shortcut for File > New From Clipboard is the awkward "four finger salute" Alt+Shift+CMD+N (⌥⇧⌘N as displayed in the menu). Because it is very hard to do that one-handed, I have always just used the menu command for that.

But the custom one @firstdefence apparently is using is fairly easy to do one-handed, & to my surprise ⌥N doesn't conflict with any other shortcut, so I am going to change it in my Mac Affinity apps & try to remember to use it from now on. So thinks to both of you for making me aware of this. ;)

Note: I wonder why the Mac Affinity apps don't use this much simpler & easier to use shortcut as the default for this.
