Hi,

I'm looking at changing for the Adobe monthly plan as I've switched from Lightroom to Capture 1.

I've been trying the trial of Affinity photo but have found it can really get bogged down on simple stuff like using the healing tool on skin.

I've tried it on my Surface Pro 4 i5 8GB/256GB and my desktop with Ryzen 2700, 16GB, 256GB NVME SSD and 1070ti and both have ground to a halt in the same way. A single TIFF export from C1 and trying blemish removal. On my desktop it also froze completely doing object removal from a 12Mp jpg image and I had to power off the machine.

Is the trial different to the actual purchased product?

Hi sidneylopsides and Welcome to the Forums,

The trial is the same as the release version.  We are currently working version 1.7 which is in beta and i was going to suggest trying that as it's had a number of performance improvements made but as you have the trial, that won't be possible.

If you can give the exact workflow you follow and attach a sample JPG, i'll try replicating the issue on the Surface we have here in the office which is of a similar spec to yours.
