Publisher crashes with no disk space

Hello,

I accidentally tried saving a Publisher file on a hard drive that did not have sufficient space for the file. Unfortunately, when attempting to save the file instead of providing an error message that there was insufficient disk space to save the application then immediately crashed with no error message. Fortunately, the auto-save function meant I was prompted on whether I wished to recover my work. I then saved my content to a different drive successfully.

Please could you investigate to see whether you can reproduce a crash by attempting to save an Affinity Publisher document on a drive with insufficient space?

Affinity Publisher 1.8.3 - MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 

I just preparing a photo book with lots of photos and see my disk space shrinking while working on the document. All photos are linked and not embedded in the document. While working it used up to > 50 GB of disk space. When ending Affinity Publisher the space gets freed up again -- I think it cashes the photos somewhere.

I wonder why it is not allocating the space at the beginning when I start working on the document.

Never the less -- the Publisher is so fast with > 500 Photos and multiple pages -- this is so awful so it is ok to restart some times.
