scardario Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 I know that this is probably going to be covered later by publisher-designer integration, but I think Publisher needs symbol management the same way Designer does. I mean, the functionality is already there, it seems that the master pages use it, at least visually they are very similar in the layers view. Is there some plans to implement it? 000 1 Quote
Aammppaa Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Symbols Panel was removed from Publisher in early beta. However I suspect it will return in the Designer Persona when that is activated, so will be accessible within Publisher to those of us who own a Designer license. 000 1 Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro

Hitesh Patel Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 To use SYMBOLS, you need to go to the Designer persona. Create a shape in Publisher. Switch to Designer persona. Go to View, Studio and Symbols. Once you create the shape to the symbol, it will act as one even if you change persona back to Publisher. FLOQ-Design and MÅNEMANN 1 1 Quote

But the original conversation (before @Stepaan's question) was an old one, before the Designer Persona was available Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Matt1978 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) walt.farrell I guess that is an old thread but that is relevant to me right now... I can't figure out how to use symbols in Publisher despite switching to the Designer persona. Any ideas?! Thanks Edited June 6, 2024 by Matt1978 Quote
