APP Crashing RAW CR2

Hello,

 

Every time i try to open a raw file CR2 shot on a canon rebel T7 it crashing that app and returns me to apples home screen.

I am using an ipad Pro 12.9 updated to the latest IOS 

is there something i might be doing wrong? any help would be great.

Can you post here an example CR2 file that you have a problem with for people to check.

Crashing on my iPad :(

I can open another .CR2 file so I guess it’s an issue with your file.

@Jwiles Tried your file in Lightroom on iPad. It opened. :o  Exported it to Photo Library using Export Original. Then opened the file using Share shortcut to open from a photo Library to Affinity Photo, where it opened into RAW edit mode ok. :)

Closed and used Import from Photos option in AP. It shows the raw image and imports fine.

Conclusion: it may have something to do with the method you are using to transfer the raw files onto the iPad. At least you can use your shoot by opening in LR and Exporting to Photos Library where they will now be accessible as raw files in AP.
