Clarence Taylor Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 When I first began using Affinity's Perspective Live Filter Layer, it was possible to load a screen shot in as the background against which to achieve the correct perspective of the selected items. At that time ONLY the selected items was affected by the perspective grid overlay so that that item alone could be given the correct perspective . Once the selected item(s) had the correct perspective(s), the background reference layer could be deleted, leaving only the corrected perspective items from which screen shot was made to be included in the final image. NOW the no longer works! Everything on the screen is affected by by the perspective live filter, whether specifically selected, or not. How can I return to the former situation of ONLY the selected item(s) being affected by the perspective live filter, and NOT the background reference image layer? I'm including an example: everything but the clock faces is a background image reference layer. Against this layer several different clock faces were added, and then perspectively 'corrected' for the positions which they now occupy; this was done without the background layer becoming involved in any way. walt.farrell Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Clarence Taylor. It looks like you did not include the example file, but as you're a brand new user it's possible the forum system won't let you attach files just yet. I think your issue may be with the position (in the Layers panel) of your filter. For example, with this positioning the filter affects everything below it: However, with this positioning it affects only its parent pixel layer: That second one may also look like this: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
