Kris
Is there a chance on a Gradient Tool like Photoshop working? Not in the "vector" way? I mean something like this: I prepared a selection, choose the color, type of gradient (ie. the selected color to transparency) and paint. 2 times, 3 times - until the effect will be like I wanted Do gradient tool is still "work in progres"? EmmaS
Anyone have an answer to this question? I've been trying to figure out how to make a color-to-transparent gradient for about an hour now and I'm so frustrated I'm about to give up and go back to Gimp. Staff MEB Posted March 16, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 16, 2016 Hi Kris and EmmaS, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Affinity's gradient tool doesn't work like Photoshop. It doesn't "blend" successive "passages" of the gradient. If you apply it a second time it will replace the previous one entirely. The video linked below explains how they work in Affinity. You can replicate Photoshop behaviour using a different layer for each passage, which will give you more control over each one and then flatten all passages or simply group the layers if you want to keep them editable. @Emma, Check out this video tutorial about Gradients in Affinity Photo. Kris
Hi MEB and EmmaS I changed the Gradient "Photoshoop way" to the Brush tool with the multiple color sampling and Blur. The effect is similar. I'm doing the same thing but in a different way. It's just a matter of habit. Greetings.
