pixelinkmedia
CorelDraw has THE BEST warp text function around in a vector program. AD needs this desperately.... it is awesome! Currently the easiest way I get around this is to use coreldraw Then copy/paste it into AD. It is pasted as a CorelDraw object, but you can still use it as a vector object. jamesarm97
Agreed. It took me hours going between a few programs to do the same thing. I ended up having to use a CNC cad program to accomplish this same type of warping. Would love to see this and Text to Curve feature in Designer. v_kyr
Text to curve and warping of text are pretty different here, warping text and vector shapes etc. falls into the distortion field of vectors operations (envelope distortions and the like), which are actually missing in AD. - So things one can actually only do with vector nodes here in AD are not quite the same and most can only be reached at all via several detours. This here for example is done in a third party software which supports freeform distortions of vector objects (in this case of some text with an applied gradient), the whole is distorted and then saved as SVG, in order to reuse it somehow in AD via import. Mark Oehlschlager
Yes, a free-form Warp Mesh tool for vector objects would be most welcome.
