Placing photos beside each other in Affinity Photo

I've gone through Affinity's posts here in the forum but still cannot get this simple (in Photoshop) task question resolved.

How can I display photo images beside each other in Affinity Photo for Desktop?

The methods described in this forum have not worked for me.

Hi Artist2019,

Welcome to the forum.

If you start with a blank canvas you can use File > Place Image, you can then position and resize your images using the Move Tool. If you have an image already open, you may need to unlock the Background layer first before using the Move Tool.

If you are referring to another process please expand more on what you are wanting to do.
