World View
I'm trying to create a black background for a portion of a page. So I draw a rectangle, color it black. It covers everything, because it's on top of the layer stack. So I want to put it on the bottom so it is the background. But I can't do that. Whenever I drag it to the bottom, it attached itself to one of the four "W" letters, and colors only this letter black, creating a cut-out or clipping mask. (see screenshot) I cannot find any controls to release the clipping mask. I want the rectangle to sit on the bottom of the layer stack and just being black without affecting the letters. thanks for your help! Aammppaa
When you drag it to the bottom keep to the left. Dragging right nests inside the w. Left side will keep it outside the w. Alternatively use the keyboard shortcut control + shift + down, or the arrange menu options. adirusf and World View 2 Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro
World View
Tthhaannkn yyoouu, Aammppaa! Keeping it to the left made this work! CTRL + SHIFT + down arrow move the rectangle on the page for me, not moved it down the layer stack. Could this be a keyboard shortcut for windows? The "arrange menu" - where is that?
