It's a nice effect but and option for a squared option to fill out the rectangular image frame would be good. A fill layer below kind of works but is not perfect. If you do a Edit/Matte just to fill in the corners, it flattens the outline, removing the gradient (bug?). The matte colour just goes on top of the outline like it wasn't there.
