pke Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Sorry I'm new to photo manipulation software. What is the best way to show two images (such as both sides of a coin) alongside each other as one image Quote
John Rostron Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Two solutions spring to mind. Take two photos with the obverse to the left-hand-side of one and the reverse on the right-hand-side of the other. Load the two into Affinity Photo. Use the selection brush to select the reverse image and copy this. Move to the obverse image and paste the reverse image onto it. Use the move tool to get the two aligned to your satisfaction. Or: As before, but no need to worry about initial positioning. Load the reverse image and go to Document > Resize Canvas then set click on the lock icon (to unlink left and right); set the dot in the grid of nine dots to the left centre; then set the width to 200% and click on OK. You can then load the reverse image, select All (ctrl/cmd-A), copy (ctrl/cmnd-C) and paste (ctrl/cmnd-V) onto the obverse image. You will now need to re-position this image with the move tool. You may then wish to flatten the resulting image (Document > Flatten). John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). Alternatively, open one of the two photos, place the other one on top and then mask the upper layer with a circle so that only the coin is visible (allowing the other view of the coin and its background to show through from behind). I thought of that originally, but when I came to write my second suggestion, I couldn't remember it. So I wrote my third thought! I have a Senior Moment sign in front of me as I write!
