Michellejw Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 (edited) Hi there, I usually use the HSL sliders to pick colors in Affinity Designer, but I somehow ended up with this gradient box covering up my luminosity slider and part of my saturation slider (see screenshot below). I have tried opening and closing the program, I've tried to find settings, I've removed the color studio, but I just can't seem to get it to go away. Any suggestions? Thanks! carl123 Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 If you are on Windows you can hold down the CTRL key and start Designer as normal. You will then see a dialogue box appear with 3 items ticked already, leave these items ticked and click the Clear button. See if that solves the problem. Michellejw Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 Thanks @carl123! I'm actually on a mac - do you know of a similar fix on that os? Quote

The only time it’s Ctrl on both Mac and Windows is when clearing your user data, for which you hold down the Ctrl key while launching the app. Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
Michellejw Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 That worked! It looks normal again. I didn't get a dialog box so not really sure what happened, but I appreciate the help! thank you. Quote
