Nathan Shirley Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 When resizing a text frame (containing text), it would be great if the bottom of the frame snapped to the minimum bottom inset before cutting off text (or snapped to the top if text was bottom aligned). Similarly, it would be nice if when resizing the sides, the text frame would snap to the minimum right inset as well (or left depending on text alignment). The sides would be a little more complicated since changing the frame size pushes more text onto the next line. So if it could snap to the minimum inset, then as you dragged it further and it bumped the next word down, it then snapped to the new minimum, and so on -- that would be fantastic. This would be especially useful when you have a border/stroke around the text frame as it would speed up the resizing speed when working with a lot of bordered text frames. It would also ensure uniformity and could also still snap to nearby objects as it currently does. And it would beat out InDesign. Fixx 1 Quote
Joachim_L Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Try to double-click the centered handles on all sides of the text box. Seems to be that what you want? Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
Nathan Shirley Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 Ah, yes that's pretty good. It works completely differently than what I came up with, but it seems to do the job just fine. Thanks. Quote
