Hello

Affinity Designer

When I try to select and move a small object, handles disturb me. Automatically the cursor activates handles and the object deforms instead of moving. The solution is to enlarge the view to this object but it is very uncomfortable.  What is the faster solution?

Thank you for all the answers

Use the keyboard shortcuts to zoom quickly in (Ctrl/Cmd-n and n = 1-4). - Or select the object in the layers panel and use the keyboard cursor keys to move the object, cursor left/right/up/down moves for 1 pixel in direction, with the Shift-key pressed for 10 pixels.

Justyna, I totally understand your issue.  I wish there was a modifier key that would tell the software to disregard the handle.  But there isn't.  As v_kyr stated zooming in or the arrow keys are pretty much the only choices.  Or if the handle is so close to the node than it probably isn't needed, so an opt click would delete that handle then the next grab would be for the node.  Mike

thank's for reply

this problem is most often seen when there is another large object behind it (half-finished image, a lot of objects and layers). And when a small element is in the group - you have to select it first and then move it - you can send it with the arrow buttons but if you need a larger offset it is very troublesome.

I use the Transform panel, and the relative offset "+=Value".

How to make a relative offset?

I know the transform panel but you have to enter a specific value there.

Please see Affinity Designer Help: Expressions for field input.

thank You.
I don't know about this trick.I know that Affinity have many quick trick - keyboard shortcuts and my big question was - how do it faster.

Sometimes it's faster to ask about it on the forum than to look in the help panel - the more so because my English is weak.
